For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.

Easter is an important time to me because in these three days I, and my brothers and sisters that share the same faith, are across the globe reflecting on the same man—a man who professed to be the son of God.

He didn’t attempt to wrest power by force, revolt or grasp for it by associating with the rich or ruling authority in society.

He sat with the marginalised, ate with the despised and spoke with the neglected because he came to seek and to save.

He showed the love he had for us and yet he was rejected, mocked and sentenced to a cruel and painful death. By his suffering he understands ours. He was innocent but he took on the punishment for our wrongdoing and guilt and showed me the real cost of my sins.

And it was on the cross, that he showed the love and sacrifice, of one who would pay that steep price so that I (along with anyone else that believes in him) receive full forgiveness for my sins and am reconciled with God.

It is the second night. No one has foreseen God’s glorious plan. For God so loved the world that He sent His son Jesus to save us. And as He raises back to life the next day, all those who believe will join Him. No night will ever be as dark

When we are tired, we are attacked by ideas we conquered long ago.

I’ve only got one heart and it’s only right to give it away.

Sometimes renders do come true.

There is nothing that the busy man is less busy with then living; there is nothing harder to learn.

Seneca

“Goodbye,” said the fox. “And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”

“What is essential is invisible to the eye,” the little prince repeated, so that he would be sure to remember.

“It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important.”

“It is the time I have wasted for my rose—” said the little prince, so that he would be sure to remember.

“Men have forgotten this truth,” said the fox. “But you must not forget it. You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed. You are responsible for your rose…”

“I am responsible for my rose,” the little prince repeated, so that he would be sure to remember.

First time visiting this city and leaving regarding it as first equal retirement destination. The other being Devonport, Auckland. Mum wanted to see the photos of our trip we took in Jan, so I thought why not do another photo series. These are on my instagram account but I thought I’d compile them all into one post for my blog. This is in Miyazu Park. Japanese gardens are excellent at creating a sense of peace and tranquility. Would visit one if there was one in Auckland.

No trip complete without seeing some buildings. This is the architecture library at Melb Uni. If it’s like any other arch library it is probably the best place to study on campus – super quiet cause we’re all in studio. (at MSD - Melbourne School of Design)

Hello Melbourne! Here begins a series of my favourite photos taken on a 10 day trip around Melbourne, Australia. First up, a sculpture assembled from multiple bikes in the National Gallery of Victoria. And the wheels spin if you’re wondering.

I’ve given the 8 questions a go, really interested in if the experiment works. No expectations, it feels like a personality test except you don’t get anything at the end of it.

Visual refresh

At least once a week I’m posting either a more significant event from the past seven days, or a thought or something that has captured my attention for slightly longer. And I use the process of writing to explore it in depth and give it a conclusion and a record for future. After having the same theme for about 3-4 years I thought it’s a nice time for a refresh, particularly as it’s now updated more frequently.

The visuals are not vastly different but I’ve adjusted fonts and the background. Made the font something that I personally like looking at, Open Sans, on a subtle shade of grey background. Text size is also slightly larger, don’t know if everyone else likes it but personally I find it easier to read without having to squint1. If you’re only reading on dashboard, click on the title and check it out!
